For new players, this message board is the place to leave your comments or predictions throughout the season. In the past, I've tried to encourage participation but I won't bug anyone anymore. It's up to all of us if we prefer to remain 20 or more strangers!
I will leave messages here regarding the contest (website problems, how to's, and so on). I will not send email. As always, you're on your own. If you don't choose to read the messages, that's your prerogative. You are required to enter your picks at least one hour prior to the start of the first scheduled game each week. For casual or new fans, remember that some weeks the first game is played on Thursday or Saturday instead of Sunday.
As you look at the contest pages on GILLFAMILY.COM, you will see a page titled Football related links. This page contains links to other website that may be helpful as you consider your picks each week. I find the Magic 8 Bra website particularly helpful. If you find any interesting football related websites, please let me know and I'll add them to this page. Some people like to print the standings page each week (usually updated each Tuesday). You will find a message here with printing instructions for the various pages. The instructions may not work with every printer. Let me know if you have problems.
Finally, don't forget if you don't enter picks every week. If you don't enter picks in a given week, you receive the same number of points as the lowest scorer for that week. You can only do this twice. If you do it a third time, you're out of the contest! This is especially important this year since we have a team prize. You can always enter your picks early if you won't be available or might otherwise forget. You're not required to wait until the last minute. The main contest page contains a link to the pages for all 17 weeks (including the deadline time for entries.) Remember, it doesn't matter when you enter your picks. It's all a matter of luck! How else can we justify Anne Marie's and Rita's performance last year!
